Your baggage will be picked up at your room at approximately 9:30 AM for transport to your cabin on the ship. Please keep any valuables, breakables, your passport and boarding pass, and anything you can’t survive without (particularly medications) in a carry-on which you will keep with you.
At 10:00 AM, you and your carry-on baggage should proceed to the lobby to meet Lee
Because we are in a Neptune Suite , we'll receive priority embarkation on board the Nieuw Amsterdam.
We'll share the embarkation procedure specifics elsewhere, but you can expect to be in a short line (wheelchairs will be provided for those who need them), provide your cruise boarding pass, have your ID picture taken and receive your cruise card, take the escalators or elevators up to the boarding level, optionally pose for the ship's photographer, and head onto the ship.

Once onboard, you can proceed immediately to your cabin to leave your carry-on bag, and then you can help yourself to the buffet lunch in the Lido Market restaurant or be served lunch in The Dining Room, explore the ship, unpack your bags, take a swim or just relax.
Before we sail, you’ll return to your cabins to watch the short safety video, then go to your Lifeboat Muster Station on Deck 3 - Promenade Deck and get your Cruise Card scanned. THIS IS MANDATORY!
The ship will sail from Canada Place at 5:00 PM. The ship will hold a Sail Away party for all passengers at the Sea View Pool (weather permitting) aft on Deck 9 - Lido Deck, beginning at 4:30 PM.
Dinner will be at 5:30 each evening in The Dining Room (aft Deck 3 - Promenade Deck).

Following dinner, there will be entertainment each evening in the Nieuw Amsterdam’s World Stage. If you are after music or dancing, the Ocean Bar (midships Deck 3 – Promenade Deck) offers dancing to a small combo with a decently-sized dance floor.

Billboard Onboard (forward starboard on Deck 2 – Lower Promenade) offers music trivia games and sing-alongs and Rolling Stone Lounge (midships Deck 2 – Lower Promenade) offers rock, blues, and pop.

Later in the evening there’s lively dancing with a DJ in the Rolling Stone Lounge (midships Deck 2 - Lower Promenade Deck) until the wee hours.

Finally, if you’re feeling lucky, there’s always the Casino (forward port Deck 2 – Lower Promenade) with slot machines, roulette, blackjack, craps, and poker.
